Oil For T Sport

Six months ago I bought MOTUL 8100 XCESS 5W40 and I have no problems since then. It's still in good condition and almost nothing has subsided.

In my previous Yaris 1.3 I used Mobil 1 5W50 and had no problems too.

Cheers.

To explain: I went to Halfrauds and wandered over to thier little black flip chart thingy for my oil. To my surprise i could fill it with 4 different types. But which to go for. So i got cold feet and bailed :crybaby: I figure there are cheaper places to buy better oil anyway.

Any clues as to the best to choose would be helpfull. I read a post on the difference between synthetic stuff and others etc but it furthered my confusion. Is there a particular favourite amongst the T Sport owners?

You should be fine with any 'branded' 5w40 or 5w50 fully synth oil, if you've had it serviced, you could ring up the garage and ask what they've used to match it up.

To be fair to Halfords, yes they're not the cheapest place in the world but that's what you pay for the choice/convenience. plus you get the chance to have a giggle wandering up the 'tacky junk for your car' aisle on the way to the checkout.
