Holla :yahoo:

Well i thought it seemed abit dead in this side of the forums!

So id thought id ask a few questions

1. Unsure to put some grille mesh in front of the Rad?

2. Boot lid does not stay up no longer, what do i do to solve this?

3. What to do to the rear rev 2 lights if i dont get rev 3 lights in time for Jae?

4. Isit worth putting a cone induction filter on with heat shield or keep my K and N panel filter in stock system?

5. Whats the best brake pads for the n/a?

6. Glove box and paint all peeling off what do i do get a new one from breakers or spray it?

That will do you for now to keep you busy :!Removed!:

but seriously if anyone can help would be great

cheers

yo

Well i thought it seemed abit dead in this side of the forums!

1. Unsure to put some grille mesh in front of the Rad?

Yes do it, with black mesh, it keeps the rad form being holed by stones

2. Boot lid does not stay up no longer, what do i do to solve this?

Buy a new boot spring from Mr T or a breakers

3. What to do to the rear rev 2 lights if i dont get rev 3 lights in time for Jae?

tint them??

4. Isit worth putting a cone induction filter on with heat shield or keep my K and N panel filter in stock system?

IMO, nope, because of heat soak... the k and n panel will do fine... the best thing about an induction filter is the noise though

5. Whats the best brake pads for the n/a?

Carbotech pads from rogue motorsport... standard toyota pads are good too

6. Glove box and paint all peeling off what do i do get a new one from breakers or spray it?

paint it, infact bring it to JAE and ill paint ot for you, because the propper paint is expensive and I have loads left

That will do you for now to keep you busy :!Removed!:

nothing keeps me busy :(

but seriously if anyone can help would be great

How much would you charge for that? There'd be plenty of takers!!

Decided to spray the Glovebox myself. Light rub down and de-grease with meths. Used Plasticote (MATT BLACK) - no primer. Three coats. Light rubdown/de-grease. Finished with three coates of Halford clear lacquer. Looks great. Total cost £3.19. (had half a can on lacquer in the garage anyway).

The glovebox comes out of the car very easily. The two lower hinge pins just slide out (with a little bit of help). I then masked off the box and plastic release handle leaving only the face visible. I left the Matt Black (B&Q or Homebase) to dry overnight before applying the lacquer. Vey easy - and it makes a significant improvement to the look of the interior.

Sounds interesting Gazza.

Have you taken any pics?

(edited to avoid DP)

PS - acstreet> I forgot to say, the only mod I've done is to add mesh to the Radiator grill. I'd definitely recommend it. My rad had obviously been hit quite a few times by stones before I bought the car, and I'm sure the mesh has helped avoid more damage. Pics Here though these are on a Rev 3.

I got the boot hinge for a discount price which was £35.00 brand new as i know someone from a garage in isle of wight where my mum lives, and he gets them ordered from toyota.

If you want me to get you one for JAE i could try and get you one
