Fitting A Battery To A 4.2 Rav4.

It the past I have bought leisure batteries for caravans and used them in my cars. They usually have a much higher capacity, don'y mind if they go flat, and last longer. They tend to be a lot cheaper too. If you can get one to fit, go for one of these.

I have owned Toyotas for over 25 years and never have been let down other than once when I left the interior light on and the Battery went flat (my fault)

I recharged the Battery after disconnecting it from the vehicle and it fully charged ok however the vehicle ran li,e crap hesitating, stalling and generally horrible.

I took it to a good mechanic and he said take it for a long run and it will be fine, I and it was.

The following year I decided to replace the Battery so disconnected it and installed the new Yuasa battery a reliable Japaeses product and the same symptom occurred hesitateing, missing so I took it for a long run and cured.

It is I am told something about recognising the engine management system ?? means nowt to me but worth remembering.
