Odd Eggy Smell From Car? 1998 1.8 Gls

ive noticed for a while now that when im using the car for a while or use higher revs the car gives of a pretty nasty eggy smell? was wondering if anybody knows what it could be? anybody had the same problem?

As I have said before you can write my mechanical knowledge on a postage stamp but would guess this is related to perhaps the catalyst or the oxygen sensor maybe you should have a full exhaust gas analysis check the exhaust emissions .

I think your problem is your cat, mate, you need to replace it! I had one fitted to my 2000 1.8 vvti at Motosave, just over 12 months ago for just under £200, not cheap, so I would get it checked out! Regards, Jed.
