Rotorstock Iv

Right guys & gals

We have secured a club stand for 30 cars on Sunday 12th August at this years Rotorstock which has now moved back to Santa Pod (previusly held in the 'cow field' at Shakespeare County Raceway)

The stand will be a mix of TOC & LOC :group-cuddles: (& some may argue that they are all Toyotas under the Shell anyway :P).

For those of you who don't know about Rotorstock it is a purely Jap show & a mix Drag racing (pro & amateurs), Drift competitions, Show & shine and all the usual stands where you can drool over cars (& for the boys - scantily clad promo girls ) buy parts and loads of other bit & bobs.

Both grandstands (1/4 mile strip one & the new Drift area one) are free of charge on the day.

Advance tickets can be purchased from the Santa Pod web site Here for £12 or you can pay on the day @ £15.

Weekend tickets @ £22/£25 are available if anyone fancies staying over and joining us on the stand on the Sunday.

Club Stand passes are FREE and will be sorted on a 1st come 1st served basis

Stand passes will be posted out as soon as we have them & all we ask is that you donate 50p towards the costs (either give to me or John at JAE or pay-pal over - pm me for addy) or if all of the above aren't suitable or if you would just rather..... send or give me a SAE

So all we need now is your show of interest & if you are a definate, please pm me your full name & address :D

Hi Ray, sorry not been on for a couple of days

I will leave one with your name on in the office by the gate for you (will p.m. you my number just incase any problems) so just pop in there and collect it before going through the pay gates

I'll leave a few passes in the office just incase anyone else makes a last minute decision to come :D

Been home about an hour after a very gentle drive back to Cardiff. The same can't be said for the Calibra that had run out of road going from the Pod

It's a shame more members didn't turn up - it was a really good day

What can i saw great day out. Weather was good company was good overall excellent show. Thanks janey for getting the two clubs together It was just a shame that there wasn't a bigger turnout. Will get a few photos up later

Big thanks to you all for coming out to play

It was a shame more peeps didn't come, but you guys & gals are stars for turning out when the weather prediction was a bit iffy

It was strangely quiet at Pod considering how busy it was last year when held in a cow field but at least it meant there were no long ques for food or milkshake or my much needed caffiene fix :D

Next show at Santa Pod (stand again) is Japshow Finale on the 7th October, as soon as I have definate details I'll get them posted up

Just finding out if there is going to be another Japfest II @ Donnington this year - last year had the Time Attack finals but as they are at Brands Hatch next month I'm not sure if its happening or not.

Edit: Just spoke to Ian who does all the Jap show stuff and sadly there is no Japfest II this year BUT there will be one in 08

Great day out,with good company, although it would have been better with more attendees

The weather held good with just a few spits & spots in the afternoon but it did not prevent some good strip action.

Thanks to Janey for organising the club stand passes, I agree that we should have more joint meets and boost the numbers attending.

Bonnet opened while he was doing over 130 mph :shutit: Made him spin off the track and bounce off the wall's of strip And the bad thing about it he only had to drive down the strip as he had a free pass through to the qualifying rounds.
