Any Bhp Increase Using These Perfomance Modules?

ok ive come across some sellers on eBay claiming 15+ or 25+ BHP increase after fitting small perfomance modules to petrol cars. has anyone tried this and can they confirm this is not a scam/cheap gimmick. also what exactly are these modules and how/where are they fitted. thanks for your input!

Never tried one but i would say it would be a waste of time and money.

Surely something this 'cheap' and will 'instantly' give '+20bhp' (<the spuds of lurrrrvve>s) will only cause problems.

It will most probably be some sort of resistor or similar that tricks the ecu into thinking the air entering the inlet is colder than it actually is.

These are not worth a to55 they wire up to your air mixture and confuse the unit into thinking that it is very cold, colder air means more power means more fuel when the engine compartment gets to normal running temp its rendered usless save your money.

basically it does bugger all, its supposed to trick your car into injecting more fuel, but the lambda sensor soon picks up on it an rectifies the fuel mixtue

Particularly since essentially all it is is a resistor that you can pick up at any electronics store for about 25p
