i have bought a kenwood 10 disc mp3 cd changer to fit to my toyota head unit (w53901) i have the interface that is needed but i am having problems with it

how or what buttons do i need to press to start using the cd changer. e.g if i had a cd in the head unit and i wanted to listen to the cd's in the changer how do i go about it? (the numbers 1-6 to not work so how do i change the selection to the changer)

are mp3 cd changers compatible with none mp3 standard stereos

thanks

I had a 2003 Corolla with a Sony Xplod Mp3 6 cd changer connected to the original radio. It worked fine an I used the original buttons to switch between cd's. On the radio in de Corolla there was a button called disc and if I pressed it I could switch between de cd player in the radio and the cd changer.

On my kenwood to use the CD multi-changer I just press the "Source" Button. To change CD's I use the FM/AM buttons to switch between CD's.

Not sure if this is the same for all Kenwood's, but that's how mine works. You do know you can download the manual for your headunit from Kenwood don't you? All you need to know is the model number for your headunit.

I just noticed you don't have a kenwood headunit  .

That'll teach me for not reading the post!

thanks for that advice just waiting to get a replacement changer because the o-n switch was missing on the first changer which i believe might have restricted the searching mode of the changer to the head unit
