How do i figure out if a have a 1ZZ-FE or 1AZ-FSE engine?

You have to have a chart that breaks down the model code shown in the passenger door frame. I can't post it because there is no mechanism but if you pm me with an email address I will send it to you. I tried to post a pdf file recently and nobody could open it.

However, models ACA 20 and ACA 21 have the 1AZ - FE engine. (I cannot find reference to a 1AZ - FSE engine).

3 engines are made for your year of RAV4 ( well the whole 2000 to 2006 range , also called a RAV4.2 ) ......

1) base model 1.8 , that has a 1ZZ-FE 1794cc engine, chassis code ZCA25.

2) Your NRG and the 5 door petrol, have a 2.0 VVTi, 1998cc, 1AZ-FE engine ,chassis code ACA20 or ACA21,

3) Diesel model has a 1995cc, 1CD-FTW engine, model code CLA20 or CLA21 :thumbsup:
