Repaired A Red Lighted 360

bought a 360 off eBay last week with the dreaded 3 light problem, flashed with new controller, powers supply and tv lead

cost me 68.33 plus 15 quid delivery, then 5 quid in parts, and hour of my time with a drill and screwdriver and I now own a working 360!

Now just need to get some storage to save games/profiles and im away

it involves a drill, some bolts washers and a socket set. Its all due to the gpu/cpu solder being poor and board warping

i doubt ill end up using it on live for a long while anyway

Why?

Xbox 360 isnt really much if you cant go on live!

well seeing as i never went on live on my old xbox and had hours of fun because i play the games and like completing them

I was the same. Old Xbox was never online. The 360 tho is sweet online. Saying that... I've not played online for a wee while. Playing forza 2 and the darkness offline.... oh and guitar hero II

thats the exact one i used but now microsoft are extending the warrenty on 3 red lighted xboxs to 3 years! Will see these going off eBay very quickly or at least the price going up

yeah - I saw that in the news - I bet the ones who have just sold there 360's for around £60-£70 on eBay will be kicking themselves!!

End of day good job matey gears of war is a musty game to get as it not available on ps3 hehe . also seen that people have developed controllers to do the "tilt and move stuff for games" was in a 360 mag I saw looks really good . Now Im gagging for Crysis and halo3 (crysis way way more)
