Personalized Vehicle Gps Security

My brother in-law has just finished designing and making, in my eyes! one of the best car security devices out there on the market!

I thought I would put it to you guys, and ask you for your opinions, on your intrest of such a device? He's looking to Retail them for £350?

I have a full description below for you:-

He has called it TISO.1 (Tracking,Information,Security & Observation) and the 1 being the model.

The Tiso.1 Unit is a flexible tracking device that combines state of the art GPS, GPRS and SMS functions with subscription FREE use.

All you have to do is the buy the Tracker, insert a suitable SIM card, install and the rest is up to you.

If you want to run your own tracking server just install the free server software.

If you want to use our free Tracking server you can. (Cost may apply)

If you just want to take advantage of the sms features you can.

Installation is very simple and just requires a 3 wire install: Constant Live, Ignition Live and Ground.

The Device is designed to Operate From 12v to 38v so will suit a wide variety of Installations

SMS monitoring and control:

• Connect to a vehicle alarm and get an sms text if the alarm is triggered.

• Send an SMS text to operate the onboard relay(this can be connected to any device that will immobilise the vehicle, see the accessories section for more info)

GPRS monitoring and control:

• With the server software that is supplied with the Tiso.1 Tracking System it is possible to use a standard Pc to track and monitor your vehicle or vehicles.

• Track the location of your vehicle via WAP on your mobile phone.

•GPS Tracking through GPRS and GSM Down to street level.

•(Error +/- 6 m), data that is transmitted to the PC server as well as user's mobile phone.

•Simply Blue connectivity Tiso1 has Simply Blue communication that allows the data to be used by Laptop, PDA or XDA for in car SatNav applications and will run with products such as Igo, Co Pilot and other systems using bluetooth.

•24 hours monitoring the user has access 24/7 to data provided by the Tiso1 tracker.

•Geo Watch and Geo Fence Current mileage Vehicle geographical coordinates Divers ID (for this option an iButton is needed)

•Panic Button .This allows the driver to send an alarm signal just by pushing a hidden button in the vehicle.

•Compatibile with most existing alarm systems Car immobilization via SMS message

Pretty neat hey, I have one of the finished articles fitted to my vehicle, and it is turly awesome! Hence, he has already designed a Toyota wiring loom, so you don't have to splice into the manufacturers wiring, voiding your warranty!

If I have enough people intrested then I could get a group buy price for these!

Sounds like a good idea - but i have a couple of questions.

Is it only for Corolla?

Will it be insurance approved?

Yup! That's his company, Do you know of it?

TISO.1 can be fitted to any vehicle (even a caravan),

It is yet to get its insurance approval, But with some insurance companys, you dont have to have an 'insurance approved' device! to seek the lower premium.

lol not until yesterday when i googled the device mate...

but i just spoke to him on the phone some of his idea's are pretty cool

I'll let you know if i want one - need to get my car repaired first
