Hi guys,

I got my cts nearly 2 weeks ago now and im lovin it so far. Its an 04 plate in 'something' granite colour(according to the log book).

Ive got a few questions for ya....

  1. is there anyway to turn the seatbelt warning noise off?
  2. can the reverse beeper be turned off? cos it sounds like im drivin a bin truck
  3. im lookin at gettin some new wheels, can you recommend a site which u can see them on the car? my dad used to have an avensis with i think 17" multispoke wheels which i thought mite look gud on the rolla, anybody tried or got any pics of them on a cts?
  4. i was also wondering if anyone has put lexus lights on their cts? what do they look like?

prolly got loads more, but any info or opinions on those for now wud be great,

thanks in advance,

chris

I'm insured with elephant mate costs me an arm and a leg but im only 21.. Not too sure about modding ( apart for the k and n typhoon mines completly stock )

But do not touch the lexus lights, your driving a CTS lol  ......not a nova :dots: (this is just my personal opinion, no offence ment to anybody that has got lexus style lighting :o )

Theres a recent post called 'new alloys' that might be of some use :) as far as wheels and tyres go...

But most inportantly, welcome to the club mate!! Always great to see that another person has seen the light :)

What do you think of the lift???

Cheers

Alsace Granite, personally i think it's the best colour, but then i am a bit biased!

Easiest way to turn the seatbelt warning off is.... er... get strapped in!!!!

Don't think you can turn the reverse beeper off. Quite handy when you accidentally stick it in reverse though!

Lexus lights..... noooooo! I was looking at two CTS and i bought mine because the other had "Lexus" lights and it looked awful!! But, everybody's different so no offence to any chavs er, other owners who have them!

I found confused.com quite handy when i was searching for insurance. I went through Tesco in the end. Only a £300 hike from my 1 litre yaris!

But anyway, welcome to the club! You're gonna love the car!!

The lights didn't look too bad when the first came out. But now you see them on everything!!!

But it is just an opinion, everybody's entitled to their own(even if they are wrong!! :P )

You'll have to let me know how the Typhoon get's on. I'm considering getting one for mine. Yes i have a warranty but i reckon it shouldn't be too much hassle taking it out when i need to take the car to Mr T!!

Cheers guys, much appreciated!

To be honest, ive driven it quite modestly so far, how do you experience this 'lift' u speak of?

Does anyone know which avensis wheels i mean?

What type of headunits have you all got as well? Has anyone tried puttin a double Din one in?

Apologies mate! We seemed to hi-jack your thread!!

Aahh, lift! Floor it!

When you approach 6,200rpm the lift valve kicks in (feels a bit like a turbo kicking in!)

Once you've experienced lift you won't be driving modestly again!

Are they the wheels that come on the T4 Avensis? Look pretty good.

You shouldn't have any problems with them, the T Sport Compressor runs on 17's.

Only got a standard head unit at the mo!

I'm I right in thinking the Avensis is 5 studs? The corolla is 4 studs only so the wheels shouldn't fit.

Never thought about studs...

*googles Avensis

I stand corrected!

17's will fit but not from an Avensis!
