yes you will rub a hole in your Battery especially if it's touching, as the filter moves when the engine moves. and the side of the filter will rub against the Battery, eventually rubbing through the plastic sides of the Battery.

You'll probably do more damage to your battery than your filter.

Your better off turning the battery around 90 degrees from it's original position, then it gives a bit of room either side so nothings touching.

From the pics it looks like you have aircon, so watch it isn't rubbing on them pipes either. The 2 silver aluminium pipes at the front of the car.

What have you used to block the hole where the crankcase breather line should go? (I see you have a crankcase breather filter)

armored- i cant turn it 90 degrees because A) the filters to big and B) the wires wont reach the Battery not more (that stupid box that goes on ya battery)

ill have a quick look at the aircon today

woody- i used this tap attachment i found in my garage :| haha it is the perfect size for the hole block it n does the trick :D pure bodge job

you'll need a new earth wire and the positive wires will still fit on the Battery once it's turned around, and they are tight but they will go, everyone else managed it, so it does work.

You just might need to move the Battery backwards and slightly closer to the engine.

How is your Battery secured down as you will need a custom battery tray made for it to work.
