A Sickening Blow...

My car was booked in for repair late june. It wasn;t too far away either being the 3rd of July. So, my car is going in the tuesday the 3rd and everything is brilliant. Yay.

Not so. The garage phoned me up saying there is a delay is obtaining the sill and we will have to reschedule for tuesday the 10th. That really got on my nerves, tho last night i was feeling good about it again because it didn't seem long to wait and i'd get a nice car to trail.

And then the final nail in the coffin comes this morning. Hello Mr marchant, I'm afraid we are still stuggling with your sill so we will have to make another appointment. It should be here on friday the 13th but i will only have to phone you up in the mean time so if we make it wednesday the 18th. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thing is my mum answered and she was told monday the 23rd. After debating it (my mum knew i wouldn;t be happy) the garage then reduced the time to wednesday once i was on the phone.

Seems like they are just playing with me here. Is there any way i can find out about the sill myself? I cant exactly phone the dealership for a tsport sill can I?

It is the lookers toyota body repair centre and the damage includes needing part of the sill cutting out and a new bit welding in. That is the part that is casuing all the delays. And cant exaclty go into the sales dealership and asks the parts man for a sill can i?

ring another dealer and see if they can order one for you then walk into the repair shop sill in hand and tell em to get on with it

yeah sure you can just go to a dealer or parts place and order it.

i did just that. I was told the parts are available from the factory in 2 days. So phoned the bodyshop straight after! Amazingly the parts came in today and i'm now in an aygo till the work is complete.

Pretty much proves that they were delaying it for their own benefit.
