Oem Reversing Sensors

Popped into my local Squealers this afternoon, as I'm set on getting some reversing sensors fitted - One too many close calls up to now unfortunately!!!

Have been quoted a special price, all in (vat, fitting and colour matching) of £350. :g:

Any idea if this is fair or not??

I wouldn't even want to consider fitting the thing myself, so please don't tell me I could buy cheaper and fit on my own - God knows what mess that poor car would be in afterwards!!!! :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:

I'm fairly sure that the protection pack which is sensors and those rubber pads that stick on is £400 so I don't think its that good although it is what I paid. That was before I fitted a set for a friend of mine. The kit from Toyota is really good quality and honestly if you are anything like practical do it yourself. The instructions are really clear but you have to spray them with an aerosol and you have to take the rear bumper off.

I think they were about £100 plus VAT.

Trust me, do it yourself. When mine were fitted they left all the tie wraps under the boot liner and left the seat tilt cables disconnected.

Regards

I Paid £500 for front and rear colour coded sensors on a Verso I found them useful but can give a false reading sometimes but would still have them on the next car I buy.

I believe it is important to keep them clean

I think the price is okay but think you can do a bit better on a previous post I suggested to somebody to email a few dealers local to them and get them to quote

Hope it helps

Hi Paul,

I bought a decent 4 sensor kit for £60 and fitted them myself. On your 4.3 which has a bumper

it should be a doddle to fit compared to the 4.2 whch as you know does not.

Dave.

Wires are normal on the 4.3 Dave. I would honestly get the Toyota Kit (I think it would be cheaper from Kingo if you paint the sensors) Everything fits just nice and you don't get problems with sensors pointing at the floor etc. I did Wollastons with the OE kit and it was easy.
