Jack's 55 plate car has the deeper profile T Sport alloy and tyre as the spare. When asked about this the dealer explained that that was as supplied from the factory. From the responses here it looks like 56 plate cars and onward were supplied with five twenty spoked wheels.

It's no big deal, at least there isn't a silly small steel spare wheel, but we are in the market to buy a used twenty spoke 17in rim, with tyre maybe, if anyone wants to contact me off list.

Seems like a mistake has been made by the supplying dealer. T Sport wheels are 16" whereas the Compressor is 17". I would demand a replacement from Toyota.

Yes you would think so. I asked the Salesman about it too. He maintained that it was as supplied by the factory and since the car was their demonstrator and had never been privately owned. We couldn't really push the issue without making him out to be a liar.

From the posts I've read here, it seems that it might just be the earlier Compressors that were kitted thus, only newer ones seem to get the full set of five twenty spokers.

Having a friendly scrap metal merchant nearby is handy. We've had wheels from him before, some with good quality part worn tyres. He is keeping an eye open for a suitable doner car for us so don't park up anywhere near Derby for a bit in case he takes it upon himself to "scrap" your pride and joy just for its wheels! [joking]

Cheers
