Hi Guy's, Took my ae92 gti into the garage today as it was pulling to the left fairly hard under acceleration and vibrating at around 65-70mph then fading away at around 80! so took it in to get tracking and wheel balancing done.

Got it back and took it for a quick run to see how it feels but its just the same!! first i thought they'd not done it right but i can see that the wheels have been balanced! anyone have any idea's???? plus i got some new toyo proxes last week so i know it aint them!

someone please help before i go back to the garage and slap some heads!! :censor:

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, mind you. You posted this a while ago so you may well already have sorted the prob..

Symptoms sound like it could be a wheel/hub bearing or a cv joint. Maybe even a steering rack end!! Thing to do is go to a car park and drive round on full lock. Reverse the lock and listen for any clunks, also you can jack the side of the car up and check for play by jiggling the road wheel.. If unsure, find a garage you can trust and get them check..

Hope this helps

  • 3 weeks later...

when i changed the springs and put new wheels

on my wifes rolla i got the toyo tyres on and it

started to pull to the left, i tried allsorts, but it

kept pulling left until my front tyres wore down

and i decided on a diffrent make of tyre and

strange enough the pulling stopped so try

swapping you tyres around, back one on front etc.

i will not get toyos again great grip but they are too soft

even the cats eyes in the road was damaging them
