Hi new member here( Ireland ) I have a 1996 estima lucida 2.2td x-luxury with a stuck shut sliding door . Originally went to a local garage with problem , who managed to open door ,and he then closed it while trying to source parts from local breakers but had no luck as it has a two lock mechanism. Ordered part then from local toyota dealer but it took 4 months to arrive . However now he cant open door at all ( seems to be rusted shut. Big problem is that it is now due its mot / nct .

Can any one tell me if in an NCT test must all doors be openable and has any one had a a similar problem and resolved it . Or as a last resort how hard would it be to replace door altogether as a last resort . Thanks

Suggest you widen your search for help, there is some info on sliding door problems under Previa and also Estima, I am also hunting for help for my Granvia and will be trying a 12V Battery charger across the door closing motor.
