brake lights are now working, was a loose wire at the brake pedal...

the symbol still shows but there are no lights out at the rear, all lights on the car are working fine.

any idea why that symbol would still be on??

poor earth possibly on a rear light unit , try jiggling every single bulb around in the holders- OR try an ecu reset

remove Battery live assuming you know code for radio - press brake pedal to dispel any voltage in system. wait 20 seconds and reconnect.

or take out the efi and ecu fuses and repeat the above with Battery connected.
