Hi Guys

I just spent 1/2 and hour trying to swap my standard lamps for a pair of Philips Blue Vision bulbs. :censor:

I have large hands and I could not get the old bulb out without breaking the fitting, so I went off for a coffee and my wife said that I should use a compact mirror to see how they lock.

Using the mirror I had both replaced in ten minutes and now I get to go shopping because I now owe her a prize for being smart. :toast:

I can't wait for tonight to see how the perform.

Keep the Faith

Do replacement bulbs have to have the same 60/55W rating?

Yes. Apart from the road legalities of it, the higher wattage bulbs radiate more heat, which is not too clever for anyone with plastic headlamps. The headlamps may not melt or the reflective surface may not peel off because of the additional heat, but you what you are risking before changing to higher wattage bulbs.

However, the factory fitted bulbs are not premium branded, so you can get an improvement keeping the same wattage by picking a decent brand.

Thank you adilmon.
