Aygo 6 Cd Changer

Hi

Does anyone know if the 6 CD changer ( 9473F3) that is available for the Peugeot 107 at £200 ( not fitted ) is the same as the Toyota unit ( TM0461 ) available for the Aygo at almost double the price from Toyota. The two head units look exactly the same. I have asked Peugeot and they don't seem to know and my Toyota dealer has been giving me funny looks. Would appreciate any help. Thanks Errol.

Hi, Errol.

I have a Peugeot 6 disc changer fitted to my Aygo. It is the same as the Toyota and the Citreon item.

I fitted it myself. I took about 25 mins to fit, as you have to remove alot of the dash centre pieces, and the passenger seat needs to be unbolted.

But it is more time consuming than difficult, and is a very neat installation when completed.

I thought it must be. Does the changer have Peugeot written on it or just Panasonic? I went to Toyota today and they say I also need a changer cable. Did you get yours from Peugeot? Toyota have quoted me an unbelievable price of almost £700 to supply and fit the unit. Thanks Errol.

I got mine from eBay, and it came as a complete kit. The instuctions had Peugeot/ Citreon badging, but the changer just has Panasonic branding.

The instuctions say you have to disconnect the Battery,( which you dont ), and also remove the passenger seat, but I just unbolted mine and tilted it against the dashboard.

You need to cut the carpet to install the monting bracket, but this just involves careful measuring and marking, before you cut. The instructions make all this clear. If you take your time you will have no problems.

They are pretty close like Audi and VW.

Just got my CD changer for £38 new in a box. OOOOOOOOHHHHHHH so happy they're going for loads more. :)

Ball ache will indeed be worth it.
