Brake Calliper

hi. My o/s brake calliper is sticking and as a result has warped the disc. Does anybody know whare i could pick up a re-conditioned item because i dont fancy buying new from toyota. thanks

If you're gonna be replacing them yourself, then I'd say you were competent to have a go at cleaning up the old one first.

It's probably the sliding pins rubber boots perished letting water in.

Whip out the sliding pins, clean as much of the old grease out from where the pins go (if there is any left), clean up the pins, refill the sliding pin chambers with grease/copperslip and replace the rubber boots. Should be as good as new.

Otherwise, if you wanna buy a replacement have a look at www.brakeparts.co.uk (although it can't seem to find any parts for my car at the moment, it may be broken)
