98 Tacoma Tachometer

Question for all...

I have a '98 Tacoma.. standard cab 5spd... nothin spectacular... and its got the 3 gauges... coolant speed and gas... its pretty boring... so i wanted to add a tachometer... does anyone know if i can get another set of gauges from a different model of tacoma and everything still works? or should i resort to a tach from auto meter or something... HELP I NEED ADVICE!!

Afp, I have a black 97 4x4 with the same setup, i havn't seen a base model truck like ours with a tack yet, much let a place on the console for one, i'd shoot for the auto meter tach, i'm not too happy with the guage cluster on tacoma's anyhow i might be going to a full-aftermarket dash with a luminous indiglo like background, real nice...
