I've got a 2005 Corolla and in the process of playing around with my dashboard i've put a big scratch on the area that has the climate control on it :censor:

Anyone got any tips on how i can make it look better than it is and if not any idea how much it's gonna cost to repair?

I've scratched the centre console and dashboard, with my various install changes, few a deep scratchs as well.

I've managed to just ignore them so far, but i'm sure i will have to change my mind when i come to sell it.

Toyota wanted to charge me £250 to replace it! They said they could provide me the part for £140. I'll be more careful next time

Why don't you get in touch with a local "smart repair" specialist, most of them not only do cosmetic repairs to the paintwork, they also do repairs to trim and seats.

You should be able to find one locally.

Halfords do a special smart repair kit for about £20. Try that!

i had a look at the smart stuff but because of the pattern on the dash i couldn't get it to look right. Bit the bullet and ordered the part from Toyota, decided to fit it myself. All i can say is i'm glad i didn't pay them to fit it. Took about 15 mins and looks perfect now. Guess i'll be more careful in future
