Cd Player Fault ?

Hi

I have recently bought an 03 plate Rav4 D4D and the only fault I can find is that the CD player will not play any CDs, but ejects them instead.

The first time I tried it all worked fine, but after switching off and then back on the fault appeared. I have tried different CDs and all legit ones but no difference, is there something I can reset on this unit perhaps or should I return to Toyota and get it sorted under warranty ?

Thanks

I don't want to state the obvious, but have you tried the 'eject' button... just to make sure you have not left a CD in the carriage and that you are not trying to load another CD on top of it! Mine would normally go to play mode if there is a CD already in. Perhaps you have a CD 'jammed' inside? Can you remove the face plate... re-fit, and make sure all the pins are hitting the faceplate contacts.

There is no CD already installed, I did try the eject button as suggested, it was working OK so I think all the contacts should be OK. May be a trip back to Toyota is in order then. Thanks Daveh
