Hi first of all I better say hi as I am new to this place.

I just bought a yaris t sport about 1 month ago and have been looking into getting a new set of wheels / lowered and a nice induction kit. Was thinking of getting 17's but iv heard they are a bit much

Would i be better of getting 15's again ? Has any one spotted any nice black ones ?

What is the best air filter kit to get ?

Thanks Alot

lowering depends on how much you wanna drop it

tein coilover will get it on its ***** but for £500

or a set of lowerin springs will get you 30-40mm for about £100+

as for wheels your best going with 15" or 16" as after lowering 17" can catch the arches if there not rolled

id say 16" cause they look the nutts :)

as for induction kits ive got the blitz n its nice and sounds class

i no srkid has the KnN and he says its spot on aswell

theres also the apexi but mite be hard to get hold of cause they went bust think baby-yari is sellin one soon?

hope this helps n get some pics n updates up as it happens

Welcome to toc

Wheels i'd say get some 15's, or lightweight 16's.

As your planning on lowering the 15's may not fill the arches enough and if you have loads of speed bumps around your area you'r more than likely to catch the bottom of your car, so you'd be better off with 16's but there are not that many choices out there as 16's are an unpopular size. But if you'd prefer 16's spend a little extra on some Japanese wheels as you will have a slightly larger range to choose from.

And for lowering springs, i'd recommend the tein they lower 35mm on the front and 38mm on the rear for a more balanced look. They'll set you back £130-£150 but are worth it more than any other spring out there.

If you want really cheap springs go for PI, GMAX.

They'll cost you about £80-£100 but you may be a bit dissapointed with them over a period of time.

Sometimes there are sets of TTE springs on eBay. TTE are optional accessories that you get from toyota, these are actually made by Eibach they lower 30mm and are sometimes cheap on eBay for about £40.

Depending on how you want your car to look, I don't think these lower enough especially if you end up going for 15's.

Induction kits, there are a few to choose from

apexi

blitz

K&N

HKS

Envy filter

blitz is the loudest, but the filtration is not that good. They make 3 types of filters ranging from £100-over £200.

Apexi is the best filter but you may find it hard to come accross one as they went bust, cheap at £120, sounds great and it's a dry filter so you don't have to worry about any oil on your MAF sensor.

K&N is relocated to down by the bumper for cold air as is the envy kit. Envy have stopped making theirs now but you may find one second hand costed around £120 and is also a dry type filter. K&N is a bit more expensive around £190

I wouldn't bother with the HKS as it is a foam filter, it will barely filter anything out and don't think it's worth the money

K&N's better than pipercross.

Quite a loud sounding filter, don't know how good the filtration is.

One thing to remember is, all the rain we've had lately if you had a filter located at the bottom of the bumper you wouldn't be able to go through very big puddles, as it would suck up the water and bugger your engine.
