Celica Sunroof

i have 90 gen 5 celica and although the motor goes through the motions of making the noise and rotating its own gear the roof is seized i think...does anyone know how to get the whole roof out? and yes i know its winter :D

Not sure about the Celica specifically but in most cases you have to remove the head-lining. They are normally like a tray that contains all the workings. At the factory they get loaded into the car by a robot arm either through the windscreen or back window aperture before the glass is fitted. It will be heavy-ish so you should get at least one mate to help. On the Rover one I helped design it was only held in with 6 bolts but I know the one Vauxhall were using at the time had more like 14 so you'll have some spannering to do. You could probably get away with just lowering it into the car. Hope that helps
