Sold my Focus ST170 and bought a new XT-R D-4D in Silver with leather interior and side protection from Gordon Lamb Chesterfield. 2 to 3 weeks delivery. Somewhat concerned though with the flywheel problems and Toyota perceived worsening customer service. Still I guess more people complain than give praise. My Focus gave 4 years completely trouble free motoring I expect I will get the same from the RAV4. Hope so this is the car for mine and my wifes retirement to go to see places we never had time to visit when we were working.

Have found some very useful information on the forum and thanks for that.

As your RAV is brand new dont think there will be much to worry about if anything does or might go wrong.... :unsure: just take it back to dealer....top warranty on Toyota's.... :yahoo:

Add some pics to the ever increasing photo forum...(when you get it)....The XT-R is now only available with the run flats as on the T180 and no spare...is this the case on yours....

Yes no spare but a repair outfit is provided. Sales guy said best to call out the RAC and get them to repair it the foam ruins the tyre. Will see if I can get a spare cheap somewhere. I believe the run flats are on the 180 only.

Welcome to the club.

Somebody was going to see if a spare would fit under the boot floor but I don't know if he ever did. Various people came up with some very valid reasons for having a spare but I think you only need a mid range tyre on a steel rim if its only to get you home.

Thanks anchorman looks like I will have to visit the breakers yards. We hope to tour Europe later this year do not like the idea of all those miles without a spare. Plenty of room in the boot fortunately.

Picking up the car on 10th August.
