:crybaby: my starlet turbo wont go into 5th and the reverse gear, so i have started to look for an import gearbox. As i searched i had seen a toyota corolla gear box and it looked like it would fit but im not sure, if it did fit im sure i could place a corolla racing clutch and the gear box to the engine  .

What i really want to know if this could be done and if anyone knows where i could get a starlet gearbox from thanks.

 Yes i know i am in the corolla section

the starlet and the corolla share the 4e-fe engine so the gearboxes should be interchangable, also you may want a G6 gearbox as many GT turbo starlets have converted to the G6 (6 speed) gearbox as it is specifically for the 4e-fe.

e10-sportif - Could you get me a price on the starlet gt gearbox please thanks.

I need more info about the G6 gearbox (ie could it handle the 200 BHP)/ do i have to buy as a separate mod(racing clutch/ internal changes to the gear stick and box) and how much do they normally cost.

thanks

i'd advise you look around on 'toyota gt turbo . com' (as one word, toc won't let me post its name but it is a good site for starlet owners) website, if you haven't already, its a gold mine!

could i install a glanza v gearbox and still use my starlet turbo clutch. im still unsure about the g6 gearbox (would gear ratios on the g6 give lag on a starlet turbo)

what advantages / disadvantages are there to the g6 (except the 6 speeds)

the G6 is a close ratio box, same top speed as the 5 speed so if anything there would be less lag as you could stay in the power band for longer. EP82 and EP91 boxes should be the same as there isn't much different between the two engine (not anything that i'm aware of anyway)
