Hi 2nd post but hoping I can pick your guys brains and thoughts.

I have owned my current Gen7 since 2003 its a 2002 model...

I have decided I am now tempted to start tweaking her..I have owned in the past a BMW 325i and a Calibra and modified them over the time I had them ( tastefully , I may add )

. So Im not a novice at Modding. But wanted good advice as to best routes to take and advice etc as I struggle to find a lot of products for my model.

So the questions I guess are.

1. Other than £3.5 K on a supercharger kit..anyone now of a chipping company or turbo conversion company that are reasonable and recommended.

2. Best Induction Make for performance ?

3. Best Stainless Performance make/match for the car?

4. Best Suspension make ( 30 ~ 40 MM drop )?

5. CanCom for VVTi engines.. worth the £300 ?

6. Any other routes for higher BHP and performance?

Sorry if this seems a bit dumb but as the aftermarket performance parts for my Gen 7 seem thin on the ground i thought you guys would steer me away from dead end poor makes or product

Cheers

1) Personally i'd go for the FI route if you can afford it. There are a couple of people on celica-club.co.uk that have turbo/supercharged it and can advise how to do it.

2) Most induction kits are more show than go! the stock air box it pretty decent, with a direct cold air feed. So get a good panel filter in there and debutterfly it.

3) Depends what you are after for an exhaust.... the TRD one is pretty good, performance and sound...

4) Best drop would obviously been a coilover kit.. however for a daily drive i would proberly say go Eibach (sp) as they are progressive... or TTE springs (from Mr T - which are standard onthe gen 7 GT) they would be a 35mm drop without much of a sacrifice in ride.

5) not sure about this!

6) maybe add a TRD shortshifter! and a front/rear strut bar

D'Oh. I've been getting mine fixed by BA Baracus; quite good rates actually. I wondered why you were all dissing him.

Matrix> Have you considered trading it for a 190/T-Sport. Six speed box + lots more go; and it's a hoot when the high lift kicks in.

If you go that route your car will be worth more when you eventually sell it, whereas any alternative mods are likely to be worthless.
