hi, i have a 98 corolla e11 1.3. i need to find the engine number.. any one know where it is???

and also how can i upload photos??

the engine code is 4E-FE for the 1.3 non vvti found in the e11 (non face lift)

no thats the engine type. the engine number is a number that is stamped on the engine block bot i cant seem to find it

would that not be the same as the vehicle's VIN? which is on the plate on the firewall

the engine number is usually stamped on the lower part of the engine, near the headers. It's quite hard to reach. We use onion skin paper (parchment) and a pencil (stencil) to get the number. But I'm not sure of the orientation of your engines against the body...but the engine of my AE101 PHDM is lateral to the radiator...which is right in front of the vehicle (aligned with the car's headlight). hope this helps.. :)
