Hello all! some bad news.... the t-sport has had a little bump :( I was coming up from football in what can only be described as a torrential downpour when the back end of my car gave way. I tried to correct it with some opposite lock but it was too late. The car went into a couple of 360's before smashing into a parked car. I should have bought 4 new toyo's instead of just the front 2 :P Luckily nobody was hurt apart from myself waking up with very sore ribs!!! Oh yeah thanx to the guy and his wife who watched it all happen then proceed to park their car and go into their flat without even a "are you ok" help thy neighbour n all that... :ffs:

Looks like its not too serious so when its in the garage getting repaired i think ill be looking online for some new upgrades to cheers me up :D

Anyho a couple of pics

Glad you are OK. The damage doesn’t look too bad and looks like it was at a low speed. What size Toyos have you got on your YTS as I’m thinking of getting some myself (all 4!). What is the tread depth on your rears, do you think that contributed to the spin?

Doesn't look the best but by the sound of it it could have been far worse, glad you're ok

It's been said a million times before but when replacing tyres you should always have the ones with the most tread on the rear. Perhaps it was a contributory factor but of course its too late now.

Shame its the rear quarter as that panel is always a pain to sort. Can it be knocked out and filled or will you need a new panel cutting in? Good luck with getting it sorted.

Agreed. A lot of people still put best tyres on the front on an FWD car, but losing the back end almost always worse than losing the front.

Where were the tyres fitted, and was it their decision to put the new ones on the front, or yours Gibby?

Good point. Hadn’t really thought about that if I was honest but it makes sense.

His new Toyo’s stick to the road at the front and the rears let go. I’d still like to know the condition of the rears just for future reference.

help thy neighbour

:P

Glad no-ones hurt, and I hope it all gets fixed up nicely.

I want to change my tyres really although they are new, they are terrible in the wet.

When I bought it, it had brand new Avon's in it, but they lose all grip when it's wet.
