Can I Have Changer And Satnav?

Guys

Before I go unplugging things, can you confirm if ALL head units (ages and revisions) have a code? I have a MY2004 Xt3 with single CD.

Also, if I add a SatNav unit (TMS) can I still buy and connect a CD changer or are they mutually exclusive? I have seen third party interfaces that tend to suggest that as standard, you cannot connect both.

Thanks for the help.

Best-Gear...I have the single tape unit in mine but this also has the 6 disk cd changer under the passenger seat linked to it, also it is sat nav compatible...just dont have the bits, dvd box and wiring loom + GPS (any way I have TomTom6 on my Orbit phone) more transferable....like today as the wife nicked the RAV to go shopping

I beleive most are compatible and can be linked up....if you want I can swop mine out for yours... ;) ;) ;) ;) Mine is all Toyota branded though so unsure if you can link up any CD Changer to this Radio

Hi,

Haven't a clue about the codes, sorry!

But, I'm fairly certain that you can have a multi-disc changer as well as the in dash TMS sat nav. This obvously comes with a one slot CD as standard, in addition to the DVD slot for the SatNav disc.

Cheers.

Paul.

Thanks for the replies...

There are several changers on eBay right now that claim compatibility to the toyota HU range...

Most are sold with adaptor boxes to convert to the Toyota format...

Given that satnav is about to be fitted (once I make up a loom) and I still want to add a changer...

I am sure I read that my Hu is MP3 compatible...which if it is, that would to a degree negate the need for a changer... andyoen confirm if it is?

I have fitted both a cd changer and sat nav (toyota cd changer) the toyota looms come with an extra connecter so extra items can be added but you must fit them in the correct way or they will not work together.

No code on this unit
