while i'm here .....

having read thru the bad starting problems on this site,,, i too have the same sort of syptoms,,and will try the switch assembly first, before going the route of starter motors and MrT, is this part on eBay ?

also had a look thru rval's tutorial,,,,very good info and will be a great help

This WILL be the fault on your Avensis, a click when turning the key, after a few attempts it starts, if your lucky! I just did a quick search on eBay, none found, I think they are about £40 from your dealer Kingo
