I would say 40/42 as 38 may make the wheels stick out of the arches a touch with 17's being wider than most 15/16's.

I stand corrected.. I got it the wrong way around this time :lol:, and to think I should know this :rolleyes:

The larger the offset, the closer it will sit to the strut, the lower the offset, the closer it will sit to the arch.

So yes, ET42 would probably be best. however, it has been the experience of some members that no matter the offset used, you can still get some light rubbing from the rears, rolling the arches sometimes needs done too.

thanks guys , and yea they will most likly rub a little but the car won`t be drove hard or on to many bad roads as it my girlfriends so should be ok i`ll put up some pics when i get the wheels on

Sod the rubbing on the arches mate, shes a lady, watch for the kerbing on the wheels!!!
