Hi,

I have an aygo with mmt, and I do like the mmt alot. I'm predominantly using the manual mode which is still more comfortable than have a regular manual gear.

One thing i noticed in the easydrive mode. When you really need power to accellerate from zero, it will stay in 2nd gear all the way to 50 mph. and when i then lift the pedel it will STAY in 2nd for a LONG time. That can't be right. It will eventually shift gear, but by then i have already pulled it over to manual and done it myself.

Does anyone here have the same experience ? My car is about to have first service, so I will definately mention it.

Some modern ECUs adapt their behaviour to the driving style. In my Audi if I use manual changes and hold the revs, when I go back to auto it continues with similar behaviour. At 30 in auto it is usually in 4th. If I have used 3rd in manual for a while in a 30 zone (for example descending a steep hill) changing to auto will keep it in 3rd for longer, until I drive normally again and the car relearns my style.

Maybe the system is waiting for the revs to drop before changing gear?
