Not really sure what they do, but further down the page it mentions max power so I definatly wouldn't bother.

I think the idea is that it turbulates the inlet air, which supposedly atomises the fuel better because the airs all swirling around. you then get a better, faster, more even burn in the cylinder, which means the car will inject less fuel next time round, thus saving fuel.

doubt it would do anything on a yaris, maybe on a single point fiesta or something old like that.

It would probably use more fuel on the yaris cus it would throw all the sensors out

either way, waste of money till i see proof of its working

Mwa ha ha... a fine example of "crap science".

Don't even ask about the electric "superchargers" or the fuel line magnets!

Actually, I'd rather you asked than just went out and bought them ;)

You ask what do they do? it simple, they take £47.99 out of your pocket for a little piece of crap that might look pretty but does nothing, if you consider the power of the induction stroke on any engine, do you think this toy will have any influence on it, no way! save your money.

well a guess that is ma anser then lol cheers guys

Hi, I wonderd, has ANYONE actually tried these to KNOW they are crap?

I don't want to fall for the hype either but someone, somewhere must have. What happend?

Also, how about those 20p resistors you can buy for £3 on eBay? For that money, I thought "Get one matey", so I did. It is still in the envelope it can in as I am too frightened to try it out :crybaby:

If I was sure they made a difference, I would spend the 'extra' on one of the ones you see in a little box. The same thing but tidier! Any one out there admiting to having tried them? Be honest, we ALL want to know really.

The only thing I can see them doing, is making the car run as if it had a choke (Remember them) on!

you dont need to try them out to know they wont work really.

if you poured a kettle you just boiled on you leg, would it burn you? of course it would! you woudnt go and see firt though would ya? (well, some might :D )

most people who have replaied on this topic know a fair bit about car engines, as do i.

if you have an understanding of engine technology, and engine physics and the pressures, temperatures and stresses on an engine, then you wil know what will and wont work just by looking at it.

only reason turbos and superchargers work is because they run at suck great speeds, at such high pressures with such precise engineering.

anything some pikey put together in his garege aint gonna cut it on a modern FI engine. unless he only intends to run it for 500 miles more.

just PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont buy one, or an eBay im just tryin to save you money.

and if theres not a market for them anymore people might stop selling them!

IMHO I think this is the only bit I would believe.

FACT 4 - We are still paying the highest fuel prices in Europe!

Anything else quoted before and after can be disregarded! lol, Kingo

sure they do

Corsa- 1.0 3 cylinder - 50mpg (C and D)

Aygo - 1.0 3 cylinder - 61mpg

so if they are fitted standard, they still do bugger all.

And its a vauxhall :-P
