Sub In Rolla E12

Good afternoon fellow Rolla's,

Well I spent 6 hours at the weekend putting in a new Headunit and sub (pics to come). Of course the interesting thing is that I have manual Air Con and as such, taking the centre console out was slightly different than taking one out of a Rolla with Auto Air Con. Also wirring up the sub was somewhat of a challange, trying to run a power cable through the car was imposible and I've had to run the power cable underneath the car... my question is... has any1 managed to run the cable from the Battery through the inside of the car and if so.. how did you do it?

The Rolla project is comming along nicely, I now have 17" rims, new headunit and sub... next up will be to get it lowered, add a spoiler and tint the windows. Any advice or tips are warmley welcome.

Cheers. G

Find the main wiring loom in the engine bulkhead, and feed the cable in there.

It will save alot of effort otherwise, you would needed to drill a new hole, seal it, rustproof it, and then feed the cable through it.

Don't forget to fuse the cable as well near the Battery, rather than hoping the equipment fuse will do.

If you only got equipment fuse to relay on, and surge of power comes through, it could blow your equipment up.

If you want a pic of what i'm talking about, will show you what i've done to my car then.

Would like to see your pics as well.
