Probably cheaper to get the GT4, if you mod the GT up then the insurance will go up to about the same as the GT4, check out the prices for GT4 insurance I was surprised when I was 23 I got a quote for about £740 Fully Comp, I think Churchill were doing a really good price on them.

If you can't find much then there are a few bits which can be done, but you won't see huge increases, and you need to be careful to make sure you don't make it worse than stock. The usual cheapish route is a decent panel filter (cones get too much heat soak unless you do more work) and a decat pipe (although it will then fail it's MOT)

23? that it?

I had sold my GT4 and was on a Twin Turbo Supra running 400+bhp at 22....

You obviously been calling the wrong insurance companies...

Agreed! I'm 23 and just did the upgrade last month. Only gave them another £50 for the year bringing it up to £750ish with a couple of mods. I'm paying more on my stock GT at the moment as I'm not allowed to use my no claims twice!!! Unless you have loads of points call around. A-Plan and Greenlight seem ok.

If it's the non GT/SS1 get yourself a GT or an SS2 or SS3. 30 to 60bhp extra depending on what model you get.
