I have a 1986 toyota corolla SR5. I was told that it had a 4A-C, but the valve cover only says 4A. also, there is a sticker on the valve cover that says 4A-E5***. So is it a 4A-E? It is a carburated SOHC. Im just not sure. If it is a 4A-E, what kind of power do they produce? I was also told that they make performance mods for carburated 4A's. Is this true?

I live in the U.S. if that makes a difference.

4a is the same as 4ac

its just that the "C" in 4ac is for california emissions...

so the 4a and 4ac are the same except some antipolution stuff :)
