Stainless Exhaust Systems

Has anyone had fitted a stainless cat-back exhaust to their t sport?

I have read somewhere that this can actually make the T.S less powerful,

as the stock system is matched to the engine for the best performance.

Surely this can't be the case, as most people do this for more BHP.

Anyone know more on this matter??

I would consider a performance exhaust but my standard exhaust still doesn't need replacing even after 5 years! and 36k

Has anyone ever looked into fitting a facelift exhaust to a pre-facelift car?

Think I remember reading the facelifts were quieter around 70mph after getting rid of some exhaust boom or something...

I've got the TTE twin exhaust on mine.

Came with the car so can't comment on performance, the guy at the dealer estimated about an extra 7bhp????

Although that is the dealer so i didn't read too much into it!

Must say it gives a nice growl at all times!!

I have the remus twin back box fitted to mine and I can't really say that I;ve noticed any power difference (positive or negative) the noise is less invasive as the stock (pre-facelift) but much throatier too, so very satisfying.

Whats the difference between a pre-facelift exhaust and a facelift exhaust? Thought they are the same!

No idea, but as they changed quite a few things, I didn't know if the noise from the exhaust is much different (if at all) between the 2, so I put that mine was a face-lift for information only really
