Rear Seats Dilema

I am a newbie member of the hilux.co.uk forum but it keeps collapsing and I need some info on the rear seats of my surf, 3.0td auto ssrx ltd 5 door. I read somewhere that the jack n other stuff is located under there but for the life of me I can't find a catch/button etc to release the seat so I can lift them to either get at the equipment or put the backrests fully down to utilise the full load space, could someone help and point me in the right direction. tia Hazzo

Put your hand down between the back and the base cushion, and you will find a canvas type of pull tab, give it a sharp pull and the base will come up.
