Recently just brought a Gt Turbo and one of the advisary problems on the mot was that the front left wheel bearing plays up. Bascially sometimes when you pull away it makes a funny squeeking niose but as soon as your rolling it stops.

Just wondering if this would be a expensive job or a cheap one

Thanks

It's a straight forward enough job - and one common to all cars, so you shouldn't have to pay too much to get it done.

A Motor Factors or bearing specialist will supply the bearing a heck of a lot cheaper than the Genuine Toyota part .

a somewhat relevent question for boro,

are the wheel bearings on the sera the same as on the paseo? i've taken it to my local tire\wheel\brakes shop and they just scratch their head and look blankly and say well we'll get back to you, if i can say it's the same as a paseo they might be able to pull there finger out

Hi Ozzy,

As far as I know they are the same for the Sera and Paseo and Starlet. There may be a difference if your Sera has ABS though - Andrew ( toyotasera.co.uk ) may know this - he's usually around somewhere.
