Hi Rossy, I could be miles away with this mate but could it be the fans vibrating which is more noticable when you are stood? I had a 1.8 vvti with aircon and the fans only came on when they needed to. Whereas now I have 2.0 d-4d and the fans seem to be on most of the time when I have the aircon on, they dont vibrate but they do seem to groan. Maybe your fans and/or the mounting is loose? Hope this helps Jed.

I have a 1.8 vvt-i air con and climate control when they are switched on and when the car is not moving there is a slight vibration. I find its down to when the sir con compressor kicks in the revs dip slightly and then pick up during this there is a slight vibration felt. Also has said the noise of the fans can be herd in the car. When they are running.
