What time will everything be happening? Everton play 121 miles away on the Saturday with a 3 o'clock kick off so realistically, assuming I drove, the earliest I could get there would be what, 8:30-9? Would that be a bit late to join in with things?

you'd probably be far too late for the meal by then Kev.

Still, it's only once a year !

You can miss one game Kev.... the footballs gods won't mind ;)

Sod the meal, I just wanna know if it's too late to get hammered & join in the drunken shenanigans with everyone

& I know I can miss 1 game (even moreso this game considering I'll be at the same ground on the Wednesday before the game) but the idea of missing a game that I could go to is causing me distress but at the same time I really want to go to this christmas party so if I can do both that would save me loads of grief

just because you CAN do something doesn't necessarily mean you SHOULD.

I can ring work tomorrow , put a few days 'on the sick' and go to Portugal for the rest of the week.........but I'm not !! :P

Certainly not my first choice of destination if I was heading that way !

Yeah, the thing is that I've sat through so much crap watching Everton but every now & then they do something that makes me feel great & so I don't want to be missing when that happens when I know I could have been there. In normal circumstances I'd just go "Sod everything else, go to the football" but when the date was arranged I didn't think there was a chance of me going to West Ham away so I looked at the party & now I really want to go.

For something so trivial the amount of angst it's causing me is ridiculous, but I really hate the thought of missing either. I've got to decide soon though because the tickets for the game are on sale now
