Possibly Coming Back To The World Of Pc Gaming... But Need Some Advice

Ok...

I currently have a laptop with some sort of AMD Turion 64 processor and it does what I need it to do as a laptop anyway.

I also have a computer with (if I remember), some sort of AMD processor. Possibly something along the lines of a Athlon 64 3600+ ? (without switching it on that's my best guess).

It doesn't have a gfx card apart from what's built into the mobo.

My q's are...

a) What cpu should I go for?

B) What gfx card should I go for?

Now I don't want to spend stupid money, but I want something that's decent for gaming at the same time. I don't need some mad £400 SLI gfx card. lol. Obviously I would need a mobo to go with it.

Any suggestions??

Any chance of letting us know what motherboard (make and model) you have as it may prove more cost effective to get a graphics card and upgrade the memory on it (if possible) as generally speaking, these 2 things have the biggest impact on a game's performance.

Go to Belarc & download the freebe tool & run it.

post the info gained on CPU, MoBo etc & i'll see what i can find
