Help ~ Rear Wheel Alignment Problems...

hi everyone.

does anybody have any ideas how to adjust the camber on the rear of my st-205. none of the obvious adjusters in the control arms or anything that i can find!!!

is it possibly like the new mk5 golf, where the whole suspesion sub-frame moves side to side whilst the top mounts of the shockers stay in place. this seems daft to me as you can't then adjust each side individually.

any ideas will be most useful. have been having tyre wear problems on inside edge... :crybaby:

cheers, matt.

Sorry, don't know about the ST205, but according to the ST185 the camber isn't adjustable; their suggestion being that if it's out then you have a suspension problem and the advice is to 'inspect and replace suspension parts as necessary'. Easy for them to say that.

Good luck.

thanks T600. i mut admit that iwas hoping no-one was going to say that!!! guess i'll have to bite the bullit and spend more money then.

just replaced the front lower control arm last night. have found out how to remove the small steel bush on the banana arm without damaging the arm by hacksawing it out. 2 tons of pressure to split the joints on the bottom of the hub though!!!!

sorted... the camber can be adjusted slightly by losening the top hub bolts and re-doing when near the mark. the camber will adjust slightly when adjusting the toe-in on the lobed nut of the front control arm.
