!Removed! crap, we have a season where we show real progression by getting far in Europe before going out on pens, to the semis of the mickey mouse cup & finish 5th. Then we lose some players, don't even replace them (let alone spending big to build on the progress) & now it appears a nomark team have just got rid of their awful chairman, replaced him with a bunch of sickeningly rich arabs & look set to spend the money required to force their way well above us

I'm staying up til about half past to see if we've managed to somehow pull a couple of major signings out of the bag without the media getting a sniff but if not I'll be leaving the night shift thread to go to bed feeling depressed

I should really win the last few days

On Frid was working 8:00am til Sat 3:45am (19.75hr shift)

On Sat was working 8:00am til Sun 1:30pm (29.5hr shift)

On Sun was working 6:00pm til Sun 7:00pm (1hr shift)

On Mon was working 9:45am til Mon 2:00pm, plus

On Mon was working 6:15pm til Tue 9:30am (19.5hr shift)

I went to bed at 12:45 feeling miserable, got up & my dad asked me about the Standard Liege player I said they'd mentioned on Sky Sports News (they said we were reportedly trying to sign him at - I think - around 7ish & then didn't speak another word of the deal from then) & then showed me Everton website with a picture of him. I thought it was just another hard luck story of how hard we'd tried to get him but there it is, confirmation that he's signed.

Still feeling down about City & unhappy that we weren't able to bring in a couple more players to bulk up the squad but I feel a lot happier about things now than I did when I went to bed.

Anyway, my challenge for the night shift thread finished at 12:45 so I was comfortably beaten
