Child Car Seat

Can anyone please help - I need to get a car seat for my one year old nephew as I am taking on his child care. I have a three door Yaris and know nothing about child car seats!! So thought it best to ask the experts rather than troll through the internet and get nowhere

Thanks

Jo

Sorry can’t help. I won’t allow any child in my car, can’t stand them personally. Too risky of any substances coming out of them from either end, and I wouldn’t want their sticky fingers all over my windows. If I had a Roof Rack then I may consider it :D

Welcome to the club by the way

Welcome to TOC

Let me try to be a bit more positive and helpful.

The Yaris has ISO fittings for child seats ......................so any ISO approved child seat should fit the Yaris.

This should give some useful information:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_car_seat

There is a piece in the Yaris Owners Handbook about fitting child seats

I was about to mention the iso bit too. Thats the best option.

If it was a Saxo, I would have said the drivers seat as most of them seem to be driven by one year olds!

thsi ISOFIX thing is useless! when my sister returned to the Uk we looked at car seats, and altho the yaris had the fixings for childseats, the rear seats are too short to hold the seat in properly, so you cant actually have them

wasnt thought through very well.

Not really useless

Did you obtain the full ISOFIX fitting kit to go with the child seats for the Yaris?
