Ecu Update Or Remaping !

Hi there,

Could anybody tell me if the ECU software of my car "Avensis 04, T3-S, D-4D", could be updated by Toyota or remaped. I believe it has been set so lean to the point that it kills the car and is not pleasure to drive at all. Every time I drive it as if it tells me, "Look, do not make me shift faster as I rather stay parked than go places".

Ideally I would like to be able to tune it up myself to the point that I am happy with it. Surely there should be a way of me, altering the air/fuel mixture ratio by way of using a software or similar.

If anybody out there knows of software where I can personally tweek the settings myself, I would be verry happy to know.

This car is getting on my nerves, it is soooo slow !!!

The only time it kind of wakes up a bit is on a cold damp morning - then it kind of shows me that there is a potential under the bonnet.

Thanks,

Hi Rossy,

Thanks verry much for the idea. I will check them out. Could you please tell me where exactly do you plug the harnes with the unit and what is it supposed to do? 1. Alter the settings of the ECU or 2) Alter the air incoming sensor feedback to the ECU, making it think the air is colder and more.

Thanks,
