Slowblow Fuse...

I need a 2A slowblow fuse for my logitech souround sound system.

Anyone know where I can get one from? What is a slowblow fuse??

If you are desperate for a temporary fuse right now, check out any ciggy lighter plugs...just wind the end out and it might be what you need till somewhere is open tomorrow.

"Time delay or slow blow fuses are designed to tolerate the temporary overloads that occur during switch-on, but they still blow quickly if subjected to gross overloads during faults. Slow blow fuses are commonly used in the primary circuits of electronic equipment, where the initial surge can be many times the normal load current. Slow blow fuses and fast acting fuses are not interchangeable due to their different time characteristics."

I've actually not got the fuse to compare it.

The fuse cover on the sub of the surround system has vanished and the fuse is missing. Hence I'm trying to find a fuse for it. Also contacted logitech to see if they can supply a new fuse cover for me.

All I know is that I need a slowblow 2A fuse. lol.

The one Davy linked to should do fine. ( assuming that it's a 20mm fuse you need - although it should be as this is the main size used in most electronics )

Should be readily available anywhere that sells this kind of stuff.
